I want to ask you a simple question. What are you in need of right now? Is it peace? It is healing? Is it a breakthrough? Is it finances? Is it all 4 of those things? When thinking about this, who do you naturally turn to for help? Your family members? Your friend? Your spouse? Your job? I want to encourage you to turn to God, who is the one and only source you will ever need for every need you will ever have!
I have learned that God will use people, and places to bless you, but the source of it all is God. In the past, I would look at external things to help me and comfort me, and yet I still felt empty and I was still in need. Once I realized that God was my source for all things and that I can come to Him for anything and everything, that’s when things began to change. I realized that my employer was not my source, but that whenever I turned to God, He would use my employer to bless me. I found that when I was in need of peace, I could turn to Jesus - the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and receive it right away. I found that whenever I was in financial need, I could turn to God and He would use people or places to bless me!
2 Corinthians 9:8 says “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” Then in verses 10-11, it says “For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”
I find it so amazing that Paul says God will generously provide ALL YOU NEED. God doesn’t hold back from you. In fact, He wants to get blessings to you! He wants to help you generously. He wants to guide you! It then says that God is the one who gives the seed to the farmer for them to plant and then He is also the One who does the growing and provides the grain which then provides the bread to be eaten. WOW! God is literally behind it all. He is our reliable source!
I want to encourage you to come to Him for whatever you are in need of. God has shown Himself time and time again, then when HIS people come to Him for help, He never turns away, but instead opens His hands and is willing to help you in every situation!
