It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! During this Christmas season, it’s so important for us to come to the Lord with gratitude, praise, and thanksgiving for what He has done this year, what He is currently doing, and all that He is going to do. I mean, where would we be if it were not for Jesus Christ? What would we have if it were not for the Lord Jesus Christ? I am sure you can answer that! This is truly the time to reflect and take time to speak to the Lord and seek His face as we finish this year and go into the new year!
As you go about the remaining days of this year, think of the people you want to bless with the Gospel. Think of the people you want to bless with your resources and time! Think of the people you are grateful for in your life. Think of all of the wonderful blessings you have in Christ Jesus. You know the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:8 that whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
I find that during this time of year, people are the most joyful! Why do you think that is? It’s because they are intentionally wanting to bless and give to others in need and to those they love! Giving and being a blessing is something you should always do because we know that Hebrews 13 it says that when we give to those in need that is a sacrifice that pleases the Lord. How wonderful is that? Let this Christmas season motivate you to bless others, whether it’s with your resources, your time, your words, etc. Let’s be a blessing this Christmas season as the body of Christ and represent the generous and loving nature of the Lord!
