The Bible tells us in Psalm 3:3 “But You, O Lord, are a shield around me; You are my glory, the One who holds my head high.” God does not delight in us feeling defeated with our heads down. He holds our head high. As a child of God, “we are raised up and seated with Him in Heavenly places” according to Ephesians 2:6. God wants us to understand that in Him, we are born of God, and those who are born of God have overcome the world (1:John 5:4)
We do not back down from obstacles because we are overcomers in Christ Jesus - we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:17). Although we might face trials - Jesus tells us to take heart and to not worry because He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We have Jesus living on the inside of us and that makes us an overcomer in every situation if we yield to Him. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead also lives in us! (Romans 8:11) Anything that might have seemed dead such as a dream or a goal, your marriage, your family relationships, or your health, can be risen back to life if you have faith in it! Nothing is impossible to those who believe in God and His mighty power.
I want to encourage you today to rise up. Kick the past off of you and move forward. Wipe your tears and thank the Lord that joy is coming in the morning! (Psalm 30:5) Put your crown on because you are a part of a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9) You are called for such a time as this. You are gifted and anointed to be all that God has called you to be. Will you reach out in faith and believe? There is no one, not even the devil who can take away the mighty plans that God has for you if you will fight and resist him. We are in a time where we need to stick together.
We are a part of the Kingdom of God that cannot be shaken. We are supported by our Rock the Lord Jesus Christ. Rise up, king! Rise up, queen! Let’s take authority over the devil, and cause the light within us to shine brighter each day!
