What Does the Bible Say?

I know there are many voices in this world right now that are telling you many things. Unfortunately, a lot of it does not come from the Bible. The news will try to tell you something, your friend will try to give you their own opinion, the doctors will try to give you their expertise, your parents might try to give you the best guidance from their own wisdom, but what does the Bible say?

We know that Isaiah 55:11 says “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent.” We know that God’s Word is true, and will always be true. What God said thousands of years ago is still true today because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) The Bible says to trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, and to acknowledge Him in all of our ways, and He will direct our paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

It’s very evident that God wants us to turn to Him in every situation because His Word is not only truth, but it’s a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (Psalm 119:105) What does that mean? His Word brings light and revelation to any situation we face. His Word brings truth, and the Holy Spirit within us leads us into all truth according to John 16:13. His Word will direct us on what to do and will give us Godly wisdom when we ask according to James 1:5.

In every situation, what does God say in His Word? If the doctors say you will never make it, what Does God say? He says in Psalm 91 that with long life He will satisfy you, and show you His salvation. When the medical report says you are sick, you can declare that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). When the news says the economy is going down the drain, you can declare that God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) When your parents tell you that you will always be a certain way because it runs in the family, you can declare I am born of God, and I am a new creature in Christ, all things have been passed away, behold all things have been made new (1 Corinthians 5:17) When your friends try to talk you out of a God-given dream, you can tell them with man it’s impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13)

When we lean on God and His Word, we become so well equipped in every situation to be able to speak back to sickness, poverty, lack, addiction, doubt, fear, and anything contrary to the Word of God. I will leave you with this. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The Word works every time, for every situation because it was created to be so.
