Where Does True Peace Come From?

I want you to ask yourself this question. Where does my peace come from? Does it come when you finally have a break from working? Does it come when there is just silence? Does it come when you exercise? Does it come when things go your way especially if you have been stressing about it for some time now? I want to say that having peace is the empowerment to enjoy your life. To be content in every circumstance, even in the waiting. To stay grateful even when things are going downhill. Keep your faith and eyes on the Lord for He is your strength and song. True peace comes from Jesus Christ alone. In John 14:27 Jesus says “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Jesus gives us peace that nothing else can give. Not that drink, that cigarette, those pills, that person - only Jesus Christ.

The world believes that peace is being in a state of quietness, but regardless of how quiet everything is around you, what’s the noise that’s happening within you? What war is waging within your mind? Peace comes from the Holy Spirit within you. Peace comes from having a supernatural ability to smile even when outward circumstances are not right. Peace is a supernatural joy and comfort that comes from the Holy Spirit that allows your mind to be at rest when there are a million reasons to freak out. The world has no true idea of peace because the world rejects Jesus and everything He is and has to offer. Those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. Those that trust in the Lord will not be abandoned nor ashamed because He goes with you always.

If you are in a situation where you find yourself not at peace, call on Jesus because His peace that He gives to you is the only remedy that can fill that void within you. He is a compassionate and caring Father who wants you to be at rest no matter what is going on in your life and to enjoy life abundantly and to the fullest. Lean on Him and you will never be disappointed.
