Write the Vision

Has God ever given you a deep or burning desire within your heart to accomplish something? The Bible says in Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself also in the Lord: and He shall give you the desires of your heart”. Those burning desires come from God when you are seeking Him and His will for your life because He has already placed within you the calling you are to accomplish in your life. If you don’t believe that God has a plan for you, let me tell you that Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you” declared the Lord, “plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

One of the first things you need to do is “write the vision and make it plain” according to Habakkuk 2:2. Write anything that comes to your mind in your prayer time with the Lord. Journal what you hear Him telling you, write it in great detail, and even if it seems so impossible WRITE IT DOWN. We serve a God whom nothing is impossible according to Luke 1:37! Once you have done this, create a vision board! Yes, I said it! I know new age talks about vision boards, but the Bible talked about it first, and when you do what the Bible says you will receive God's results, not what the “universe” wants you to have. Your mind sees things in pictures because that is how God created you. When you have the vision in front of you every single day, it gets you moving and motivated to achieve those goals, despite where you are in your current situation.

The next thing you want to do is a decree and declare your vision, and by faith, it shall be established unto you (Job 22:28) and speak over it every day! Your words have creative power, and since we are made in the image of God, we have the ability to speak life or death according to Proverbs 18:21. When you spoke over your God-given dreams and declare the Word over it daily, it will happen, but stay firm and hold fast to your confession of faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). Even if it is taking a while to come to pass, stay firm in the faith. Remember and meditate on what God brought you out of, and what He has done for you in the past that seemed impossible! This will keep you stirred up and in due time, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9).

The very last thing you should do is sow your seed for those visions. I can’t tell you how many times I have written down my goals, prayed over them, put them on the vision board, and sowed a seed and they came to pass. Sowing seed or money to a deeply rooted church also known as “good soil”, will not only get God’s attention, but you are working on Biblical principles of the law of sowing and reaping. In Galatians 6:7 it says “be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Every seed takes after its own kind, for example, apple seed provides apple trees, and money seed produces things that money buys. If you are believing for your new car, or home, or debt freedom, before you sow your seed, write out your declaration or your goals, the scriptures you are standing on, pray over it, and sow your seed. Jesus says in Matthew 13:8 “Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” Every Word that is declared in the Bible is truth and only truth. God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19), and when God says you shall reap when you sow, you will reap mightily!
