God Won't Fail You

I am sure at least once in your life, someone has failed you in some way. Whether they told you they were going to be there and ended up leaving, or they lied in some way, or became unreliable in one way, I want to let you know that God is not like that. Jesus is not here today and gone tomorrow. He’s not yes today and no tomorrow. He’s not committed today and not committed tomorrow. No, at all times you can always trust that God will stand by you through everything, and will be the One you can always count on to come through for you!

Deuteronomy 31:8 says “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” This verse tells us that there will be times in our lives where we might feel afraid to do something or we may yield to discouragement, but we are to trust that God will personally go ahead of us, fight for us, and stand with us to see us through to the other side. Not only that, He won’t ever fail us, He will remain faithful and committed to us and while others may leave us, He won’t!

God’s love is unconditional. He loved us before we ever loved Him and He chose us before we ever chose Him. Romans 5:8 says “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” and also in John 15:16 Jesus says “you did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in My Name the Father will give you.”

It’s amazing to know that God already knew the mistakes we were going to make, and still chose us and loved us before we ever even knew who He was. When someone loves you unconditionally, that means there are no conditions to their love. You can be mean one day and nice one day and that person will still love you the same. Their love won’t change towards you based on your behavior or what action you did that day. Their love is not something you can win or lose - it’s there to stay for good.

This is the God we serve! I want to encourage you today, to lean on this truth. God wants a personal relationship with you. He loves you. If you will let Him lead you, guide you, and you begin to trust Him, you will see for yourself that He is the God who will never fail you nor leave you!
