Let Jesus Be Your Strength

I can think of the many times I have tried to do something in my own ability and failed miserably. I have learned in my walk with the Lord that there are things God has called us to do, and we can only do them correctly when we lean on Him and His grace. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, it says that His grace is sufficient and that His power is made perfect in our weakness. The things that we can’t do in our own ability, Christ gives us the supernatural strength to do it.

God does not expect you to do things independently as He is fully aware that our human strength ends at some point. However, when we lean on the supernatural grace and strength of the Lord daily, we begin to do those things with ease. We begin to see the hand of the Lord move in our direction. We begin to feel a boost of energy when we would normally feel exhausted.

I love Philippians 4:13 which says “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” This means that when God calls you to do something or multiple things, you can do them all through Christ who gives you that strength. The key here is to do what God has called you to do, not what you think you should do. When you step out of the will of God to pursue something that God never told you to pursue, there is no grace to do it. That’s like asking God to help keep you out of His will. God is not telling you to do everything. He’s only telling you to be obedient to what He wants you to do specifically.

God is very intentional with everything that He does. You have gifts and talents that He placed within you and He wants you to use them for His glory! You are not too far gone for the Lord to use you because time and time again, we read about countless people who were not “qualified” in and of themselves, but God in His goodness, still called them and used them mightily!

want to encourage you to lean on the Lord for His strength to get you through this season of life! You may not understand everything that is happening, but behind the scenes, God is setting you up for success! Keep on sowing that hard work each and every day. Continue to pray every day and ask the Lord for strength and you will find that what you couldn’t do before will come with a supernatural ease!
