During this season, I have learned to appreciate and thank Jesus for everything He has done, everything is currently doing and everything He is going to do. I have learned to thank Him in advance for the wonderful plans He has for me according to Jeremiah 29:11. I share this because as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ we are not exempt from trials and tribulations. Instead, we know Jesus is walking with us through the fire and it will not consume or burn us according to Isaiah 43:2, but it will instead purge anything that is not of Him. Instead, we are guaranteed victory every time we are faced with trials and we have the confident hope that Jesus will deliver us out of every trial because we are more than conquerors according to Romans 8:37.
Truth be told, where would I be without Jesus? Who would I be? I wouldn’t be a conqueror. I wouldn’t be victorious or know that I have a glorious future awaiting me. When you come to the end of yourself - your own ability - your own strength and you lean on Jesus, you invite Him into every situation you face and He changes not only the situation but who you are in the situation. It is a wonderful thing to praise God in every situation because praise and thanksgiving is the highest form of faith and you believe He is who He says He is alone, and that He can do what He promised He would do.
If nobody is for you or in your corner, just understand that you have Jesus. If God is for you, who can be against you according to Romans 8:31? There is nothing more powerful than the matchless and mighty authority, power, and name of Jesus Christ. It is truly His nature to be a defender, a loving and compassionate Father, our Helper, our Provider, our Healer, and anything else that you need at this time. Lean on Him. You have Jesus Christ - the Champion who conquered sin, hell, and the grave - the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Yes, that is who you have and He is for you!
